The Book Project

In my book, the original story of my two characters was that the little girl, Emily, found a cowboy, Jack, sleeping on a bench and took his hat. She ran off with it, and Jack wakes up to find his hat gone. He then finds Emily and takes his hat back. Emily is upset because she likes his hat, and Jack sees that she is upset and is happy to give his hat back to Emily.
During this project, I thought it was difficult to tell a story using no words and only five pictures. You definitely had limits to pick which major parts of the story you want to get across in this one, five page book. My reader got the story perfectly and was able to know the story only looking at my five collages. She said: There is a cowboy sleeping in the subway and a little girl. The little girl takes the man's hat and puts in on her head. The cowboy finds the little girl and takes it off her head and puts it back on his. But then in the end the little girl gets it back!
This was one of our tougher projects but I think it was a good project to do because it taught you to really think about the most important parts of the story and how they need to make sense to tell the story using no words and fewer pages.
